Who can use my services?

·        Research Service: Anyone writing a book, document, essay, specific paper. Let me deep dive and face check for you.

·        Alpha Reader Service: This is while your book, document, essay, or paper is still super raw and likely has several more drafts to go prior to even going to your editor.

·        Beta Reader Service: This is while your book, document, essay, or paper is almost ready to go to the editor and needs that last look over.

·        Coming Soon: Twitter promotion, Facebook promotion, Email/Newsletter Marketing, Blog Ads

 

Research Service:

·        I will learn our audience

·        I will investigate the elements of your book through internet and physical research.

·        At times, I will consult those within a field of knowledge of your book to make sure facts are correct

·        I will investigate historical data and timelines

·        I will keep a research outline to provide to you

·        Keep in mind that research is subjective – so let me know specifically what you want more in depth knowledge on.

RATES: I have hourly (best if you need information on just a few things): $18/hour

 I have per manuscript: $200

 

Alpha Reader Service:

·        Please note this is NOT an editing service. While I do edit, this is for an alpha reader service and will not include editing.

·        I will NEVER share your work/copies/personal information.

·        If I feel that I do not have enough experience in your topic/genre, I will be hones and let you know. We can determine from there if you wish I complete your project.

·        This service looks at your unpolished manuscript/document

·        I will read to provide valuable feedback on where the novel stands (plot, character, flow/pace)

·        I will read to determine originality, characters, setting

·        I will read to determine dialogue and underdeveloped areas.

RATES: Items under 10k words: $20

Items 10k-30k: $35

Items 30k-60k: $80

Items 60k-100k: $125

Items 100k-125k: $155

Items over 100k: Message for a quote

 

Beta Reader Service:

·        Please note this is NOT an editing service. While I do edit, this is for a beta reader service and will not include editing.

·        I will NEVER share your work/copies/personal information.

·        If I feel that I do not have enough experience in your topic/genre, I will be hones and let you know. We can determine from there if you wish I complete your project.

·        I keep a legal tablet next to me and take tons and tons of notes as I read. I will note area that drew me in, areas where I couldn’t put our book down, areas that were unclear, etc.

·        I will provide feedback on plot holes, general plot, character inconsistencies, redundant scenes, or overarching theme problems.

·        Do you have a specific request (other than editing and proofreading needs), let me know and I will be certain to provide specific feedback.

·        Macro feedback: overarching problems that affect the entire novel.

·        Micro feedback: sentences or minor plot points that could be improved.

·        Watch to be sure your main character changes throughout the novel as well as understand their motivations and goals and how they change during the novel.

·        I will let you know what was great. I will also be brutally honest so that your final draft prior to editing is the best story it can be.

·        Note that I will give feedback, but I will not write it for you.

·        RATES: Items under 10k words: $20

Credentials & Background:

·        I have several degrees: English, History, Medicine, and Engineering.

·        I have certificates/diplomas in: SQL, Social Media Marketing, Social Media Management, Six Sigma, and Email marketing.

·        I have recently obtained a certificate in journalism.

·        I offered editing of papers and documents during college as well as offered a resume writing service.

·        Currently I work for a huge global company and, in addition to my day-to-day responsibilities, am the doc editor for our department.

·        I have read 275-320 books per year for the last 12 years.

·        15 years of editing experience with NOT changing the voice of the author

·        I have alpha read for 2 authors and beta read for 6 to date.

 

Deadlines:

·        I have yet to miss a hard deadline

·        There may be a waiting list so that everyone receives quality, timely work

·        If I miss our agreed upon deadline – your service is FREE for that item

 

Payment:

·        Payment is 50% to book your spot and the remaining 50% at return of feedback

·        Max deposit is $50 (rest to be paid upon completion)

·        Accepted are CashApp (preferred) and Facebook Pay (they are just easier and I am not charged a lot of extra fees)
